Tanning bed
A tanning bed is a machine that gives a person an artificial tan. The tan is created by the ultraviolet light that the machine radiates. This light is the same type of light that is given off from the sun.
While a tanning bed gives off the same type of light as the sun, it is not exactly the same. There are two differences between the ultra violet light that is emitted from tanning beds and sunlight. The artificial light is manmade and it is stronger than natural sunlight.
A tanning bed creates a cosmetic tan for any individual that uses it. A cosmetic tan is not a safe type of tan, it still damages the skin. The only skin safe tan is a synthetic tan that is sprayed or rubbed on.
