When considering stand up tanning beds, it is a good idea to evaluate the differences between the two main types of tanning systems: stand up tanning beds and traditional tanning beds. Once you understand the differences, you will be able to make a more informed decision based on the facts and your preferences.
Stand up tanning beds are best described as enclosed circular tanning booths. Their circular shape allows for the lamps to penetrate all parts of your skin at ones, eliminating the need to rotate or turn over. The tanning booth style is enclosed – you step in and pull the door shut behind you. Many people feel more comfortable in the stand up variety, simply because it is less like being trapped in a coffin, like how some claim the clamshell style makes them feel.
In stand up tanning beds, you remain standing. Like the other variety of tanning beds, UV lamps are used to bronze your skin. Most commercial models have fans to circulate and cool you while you tan. There are also specialized tanning lotions that protect your skin while encouraging the tanning process.
