Cost of tanning beds
The financial cost of tanning beds depends a lot on the size and quality of the bed. While these costs can be high or low, the physical cost of using a tanning bed has a very high probability of being quite significant.
This is because these beds can be dangerous – especially when not used correctly. For years there has been a lot of discussion about tanning beds and potential dangers to those who use them. Only in more recent years have people started to pay more attention to this research on the physical cost of tanning beds.
As a matter of fact, some municipal governments have now made it illegal for children under the age of 18 to use tanning beds without the consent of their parents. People are treating tanning beds much the same way as cigarettes and tobacco.
And there certainly is reason to do so; just like tobacco, excessive use of tanning beds has been linked with causing skin cancer. This is one of the reasons why municipalities have started to be more watchful about who is and is not allowed to tan.
So, while the cost of tanning beds in dollars may be in the hundreds or even thousands of dollars, the cost your skin pays could be much higher.
